The Accessibility Standard for Customer Service
And What it Means for Morden Businesses & Non-Pofit Organizations
Manitoba has laws to improve accessibility. By November 1, 2018 if your business or non-profit organization has at least one employee, you must meet the Customer Service Standard.
Through this presentation, discussion and hand-outs, attendees will become equipped to develop the accessible customer service policy their business/non-profit organization requires and to take the next steps in making their organization accessible.
One out of every six Manitobans face daily challenges with accessibility. To help remove berriers to access the Manitoba government passed The Accessibility for Manitobans Act (AMA) in 2013. All Businesses must offer accessibile customer service, effective November 1, 2018.
