Annual Events
The Morden Chamber of Commerce Annual General Meeting is held annually in March; the Mayor is invited to present the State of the City Address. The board of directors is elected by the membership and the reports from the previous year are adopted.
2023 AGM
The 2023 Annual General Meeting was hosted by the Morden Chamber of Commerce on April 13, 2023 to discuss the 2022 Year.
2024 AGM
The 2024 Annual General meeting was hosted by the Morden Chamber of Commerce on April 18, 2024 to discuss the 2023 Year.
Business After Hours Mixer
It’s complimentary for chamber members and offers the opportunity to mingle with other busy business people while supporting the honoured host and learning more about their business. Hosts open their doors for the Business After Hours, which features food, drinks, door prizes and of course plenty of networking.
Held 3-4 times throughout the year.
The Morden Chamber hosts an annual Awards Banquet where we recognize the outstanding contributions and achievements of the business community. Nominations are submitted by the general public and evaluated by a committee. The Award categories changed in 2023 to include: Business Excellence Award; Entrepreneur of the Year Award and Community Builder of the Year Award. Within the Community Builder award there are three sub-categories: Business, Organization and Individual.

Community Open Golf Tournament
The MDCC Community Open golf tournament is a casual fun way to connect with other people in the community. No golf skills are required for this fun 9 hole scramble with lots of fun contests and prizes. This annual event is open to everyone and takes place on a Thursday evening in June at the Minnewasta Golf & Country Club followed by a BBQ dinner on the patio.
A fun, empowering & entertaining evening to celebrate International Women’s Day! Held annually in March.
We hold 3-4 luncheons/workshops each year. Taking part in these educational events provides learning opportunities for your business. Attendees can also take advantage of networking at these events to raise the profile of their business. Let us know if you have a topic you’d like to learn more about.

Wrapping Up a Morden Christmas has become a great holiday shopping tradition in Morden, attracting large crowds to the participating retailers.
Retailers offer promotions and shoppers have a chance to win some fabulous prizes!
The event is typically held the third Thursday of November.
